Order a lamp shade or decorative piece
A shade is drawn against a wall, a ceiling height and a chair. Nothing here is printed until that is known. Choose a piece and open Review and request to send its code, quantity and your details. We confirm the drawing and price with you.
What to put in the first message
Two sentences will start it: which kind of piece, and what the room is like. The rest is what turns it into a drawing.
- Pendant, table, wall or night light They are four different problems. A pendant is aimed down at a table, a table piece is read from a chair beside it, a wall piece throws up and down at once, and a night light has to be crossable at three in the morning without waking anybody. Say which one and half the drawing is already decided.
- The room Rough dimensions, ceiling height, and what colour the walls are. A pale wall returns light and a dark one swallows it, so the same shade is a different object in two rooms. A photograph taken at night with the current lamp on is worth more than any of those numbers.
- Where you sit, and what you do there Reading, eating, or walking through. A pool of light that is right for a book is wrong for a dining table, and the wall thickness is chosen off that answer before the shape is.
- The fitting you already have The shade seats on your lampholder, so tell us what that is: E27 or E14, the shade ring diameter if you know it, the drop you want on a pendant, the harp or carrier ring on a table lamp. Photograph the ceiling rose or the lamp if you are not sure what it is; that is faster than describing it.
- Is the room on a dimmer? Worth saying, because a shade for a room that gets turned right down is drawn thinner: at the bottom of the dial the glowing wall is the thing you see, and a thinner shell gives you more of it. The bulb and the dimmer are your choice, and the shade is drawn to suit whatever you have chosen.
Where it is made
Drawn, printed, checked and packed in one building in Yerevan. Every shade goes on a lamp in a dark room before it goes in a box, because the wall thickness is the whole product and it can only be judged lit.
Where it goes
Anywhere in Armenia, posted from Yerevan and tracked. Outside Armenia it gets arranged in the thread, one order at a time. A shade has no electrics in it, so what travels is a printed part and the packing around it.
What happens after you send it
What comes back is the drawing with the wall thickness, the fitting it is cut for and your dimension on it, and an honest description of the pattern it will throw. Nothing is printed until you have agreed to that. Printing and checking then take five to fourteen days depending on the piece, with the floor shade at the long end.
Rooms surprise everybody. A wall that looked pale in a photograph can drink more light than expected, and the fix is a second shell at a different thickness. Every agreed drawing stays on file, so that second one is quick, and so is a matching piece for the next room: a message and a dimension.
